The Channel lost a great guy on Thursday October 30th. Chris Keegan passed from a very tuff disease. Chris fought hard to the end may God Bless Him and his Family. Chris was one of the main reasons why we had such a great hockey program in BC. Chris was our first Commissioner and was one of the guys who worked hundreds of hours building the rink. Chris will never be forgotten and his name will live forever through the BCAC and all the Kids who today are better people because Chris cared about them. Chris will be at Hillebrands on Sat and Sunday with his mass of Christian Burial on Monday 11/3 10 am @ STV. Please remember Chris and his family. There is a College Scholarship fund set up for the children of Chris and Colleen,if anyone would like to make a donation send me an email at bcacwebsite@aol.com and I will forward the info to you. Rest in Peace Brother!!!!

Looking at this site reminds me of how great it was to live in such a small town. I am now in Texas and always think of B.C. For all the people I know there, I would love to hear from you.

hey i have lived in broad channel all my life and i love it, its a great family town to raise your chidren, i mean i love it all my friends are like 2 blocks away i just love it here!

GREEN & WHITE LET'S GO!!!!! SHAMROCKS ARE THE BEST!!!!!!The Broad Channel Athletic Club had a very busy weekend. Two of our football teams made it to the Nassau Suffolk Football Playoffs. The Pee Wee's (7 & 8 year olds) head coach Peter Ward and the Pony's (11 & 12 year olds) head coach Brian McMahon. The girls also were busy at their Nassau Suffolk Cheerleading Competition on Sunday. The juniors (8,9 & 10) and the seniors (11,12,13 & 14). All our kids did a great job respresenting our town!!They played and cheered their very best. I hear the football games went into overtime but unfortunately BCAC did not come home with the win. The cheerleaders placed 3rd and came home with medals!! Coaches for cheerleaders were Donna & Jen Badamo, Margaret Wagner, Tricia Marshal & Michelle Kenny. Team Mom was Naomi Steiz. For more BCAC info visit our new website at Broadchannelac@aol.com

HAPPY THANKSGIVING. Who has more than us to be thankful for?? Broad Channel is on the move onward and upward. Well maybe if the city keeps its promise to bulkhead the ends of the blocks!!
