Hey - Nice WebSite - I used to live in Broad Channel 30 yrs ago. I lived on 15th Road next door to the Monday's. Rosemary Monday was my best friend back then. Does she still live there? Both of my parents were brought up there as well (Desmond Lennon and Dorothea Bross) My cousins the Bullings and the Costello's still reside there. Lot of great memories living on the water back then - we always played by the dead end on 15th RD. I remember there was a girl on the block that even had a horse! I don't remember her name. My most vivid memories are of the Labor Day Parades - they were the best - and the block parties. Kimberly Lennon McCabe

Hi Kimberly from a 15th Road neighbor. What a surprise that someone remembered the girl with the horse! That would be me. My parents, (Charlie & Peggy Howard) were very good friends with your grandparents (Matty & Dot Bross) for decades. I knew your Mom, her brother Matt and the twins well. Fifteenth Road is still a great place to live. My brother Charlie, sister, Marylou and myself all own homes on the block and Mom still lives across the street from where you lived. You should visit BC sometime. It's come a long way, a beautiful and peaceful water-front paradise.

I just checked through your guest book and boy did it bring back memories! I left the Channel in the early 60's and used to hang around with Eileen Kane, Zoe Morton and Linda Pearce. If anyone knows them let me know.

Broad Channel's Reunion in the Florida Keys is an ongoing event every St. Patrick's Day at Snapper's Waterfront Saloon in Key Largo. It was great seeing 80+ friends and family there last year. Hope to see you all again this year! I'll be there with my camera, just one month from today! Can't wait to get WARM!

The BCAC Jamaica Bay Little League will be holding registration for the 2004 season. The dates are Saturdays 2/7 2/14 & 2/28 9am to 12 noon - Tuesdays 2/17 & 2/24 and final registration Friday 3/5 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm All registrations will be held at the BCAC Noel Rd Club House 2nd floor side door. There will be a $25.00 late fee imposed this year so please sign up on time it helps so much with the planning of the league when we have everyone registered on time.

Hello,
I am looking to dock my boat in Broad Channel. I am looking prehaps for a private home with a slip to rent. I will have a 19" fishing boat. My Dad has just retired and spent his entire childhood fishing your waters. He loves it, and has not been back in over 40 years.
