schill - i highly recommend Bob & Chuck's Bayside Resort, the price is right, but i believe it's booked...my second recommendation is the Cheeca Lodge...a little pricey but it's worth it...while you're down there make sure to check out Woody's - just don't tell Big Dick you're from Broad Channel!!!

I heard that some people were asking about me some time ago. I used to live in the Channel until my parents dragged me to Florida, where I still live with my (awesome) husband and three fur babies. I'm running a business and (still)going to school. Just wanted to say, "Yo!"

Most of the people from the Channel stay at the Ramada Inn in Key Largo. It's just minutes down the road from "Snappers" where the annual reunion is held. Glad to welcome you to the fold!

To all St. Paddy's Day Celebrants: I have been told that the Ramada in Key Largo has become too pricey ($189 per night group rate) and that the sister resort, (forgot the name) will be headquarters.
what's the consensus??

Just want to clear a couple of things up regarding St Patrick's 2005 Reunion. The reason the prices are so high this year is because St. Pat's falls very close to Easter. There is almost two weeks difference, but this is why all the Motels are so high. The price at The Ramada, where we have stayed the past couple of years is $179.00 plus tax per night. Its sister motel, Marina Del Mar is $159.00 plus tax per night. Marina Del Mar is adjacent to "Coconuts", which most of you know is a great party place. Joan Rafferty usually signs a contract with the motel to guarantee the group rate. A minimum of 10 rooms must be reserved for this price. I told her to hold off signing anything for a little bit until we are sure of getting 10 rooms occupied. The past couple of years most of the people have been staying three nights. The 16th, 17th & 18th. But if you feel three nights is too pricy then cut it down to two. Someone in the Guestbook mentioned the Cheeca Lodge, thats fine if you want to spend at least $260.00 plus tax per night. Plus its 15 miles from Key Largo. As far as Bob and Chucks Bayside Resort goes, I never heard of it, nor what mile marker it is at. If I could get an idea of how many people are planning to go to the reunion this year and stay with our group, then I would like to hear from you. Thanks

Thanks for the info Uncle George...Michael and I as well as 3 friends will definitely be part of the festivities this year..we already have our flight reservations and were just waiting on the hotel info...so our count attending is 5.

What a great time of year. Broad Channel looks beautiful with everyone's house decorated for Christmas. The Broad Channel Fire Dept. will be bringing Santa around on Christmas Eve so anyone interested in Santa coming to there house should contact the BCVFD. This is going to be a tough year for the judges of the best decorated house contest, good luck to all of you!! Merry Christmas & Happy & Healthy New Year!!

hey im amanda and i have lived in
ny all my life untll me and my family moved to florida and i missed my bffl fallon barr she still lives in broad channel i use to go to ps47 with fallon i like the site its kool i have a cousin regina and alot of friends i miss in broad channel such as lauren g , jesse r, dyanell m, steven t, and others from my class. oh and andrew k, who now goes to st rose in rockaway , nolan r who i saw today is now my cousins bff i am in town and hope to see some familyar faces :)
